Campsite overview

Big hillsdale camp and caravan site is set between the two lovely villages of grindon and butterton overlooking the manifold valley, peaceful and quiet there are many beautiful walks to enjoy and country to admire.

Great activities / places of interest within walking distance

Abrisk walk will take you to the manifold valley, as well as the beautiful view there is a lovely river, cafe to sit and enjoy and many foot and cycling paths which lead to the peak district where you will find many more views and enjoyable walks. A bike hire is near in the village of waterhouses which is around 3 miles away, there you will find bikes to hire at cheap rates and many cycling routes to enjoy!

Great activities / places of interest a little further afield

Only 6 miles away from the biggest theme parks in britian, a short car journey will take you to alton towers, and exciting and fun filled theme park. Only 5 miles away is blackbrook bird world, a fun filled place full of thousands of different and excotic birds. a near to car journey will take you to the market town of Leek, Ashbourne and Cheadle here you can find many enjoyable things to do.
