Now in its 32nd year, the Blue Anchor Beach to Minehead annual raft race is the biggest free show in West Somerset and is believed to be the biggest sea raft race in the country.
The event runs two races simultaneously – one for the more serious raft mariners, as well as the fancy dress fun event for the wacky racers.
Rafters paddle the 4.5 mile stretch between Blue Anchor Beach and Minehead, while craft stalls, live music including a samba band and a disco entertain those on dry land. The event closes with a spectacular firework display in the evening at Minehead Harbour.
With easy camping nearby, the RNLI Raft Race is a fantastic way to get out and about and explore Somerset.
