With Love Parks Week from
the 23rd to 31st July and National Parks Week held
between 25th and 31st July, a multitude of activities are
being offered in parks around the country. There couldn’t be a better time to
take a camping trip to visit your nearest national park and take part in one of
these inspiring events, with Campingninja on hand to help you find your ideal
campsite. According to parks
charity Greenspace, organisers of Love Parks Week, 91% of people believe that
parks and open spaces improve their quality of life. Local authorities are not
legally required to provide, invest in or maintain public parks, despite the
fact that over 33 million people in England use these resources and that it has
been proven that an invigorating daily walk in your local park can decrease
your risk of hearts attacks, strokes and diabetes, not to mention various types
of cancer. Love Parks Week is hoping to promote these benefits to the masses
with an aim to get one million people to visit their local park by hosting a
range of events and activities from teddy bears picnics, taster tennis
sessions, orienteering and afternoon tea parties.
The UK is home to 15
national parks and National Parks Week is celebrating these in a similar way by
offering a range of exciting activities for you to take part in. With over 90
events taking place across the ten parks in England, two in Scotland and three
in Wales, there is sure to be something for all tastes, ages and capabilities.
If you’d like to have a go at a guided walk, why not head to Snowdonia, or if
water canoeing is more your thing, you’ll find it in the Lake District. For
those who prefer a slower pace of life, why not have a go at deer-watching in
Exmoor or visit the ‘From Sheep to Scarf’ wool exhibition in the Yorkshire
Dales. Designated as protected areas, these national parks boast exquisite
countryside, varied wildlife and cultural heritage, and welcome visitors to
experience all that they have to offer.
Campingninja, the first
independent website that offers real time search facilities and online booking
has 103 campsites in close proximity to National Parks and you can even use
their comprehensive search facilities to specifically locate a campsite close
to the park that you wish to visit. What’s more, you can select a number of
filters to specifically choose the exact camping requirements that you’d like,
whether it be pre-erected tents, dog friendly areas or electrical hook ups. A
number of campsites listed on Campingninja’s website are even situated within
National Parks, such as the Llechrwd Riverside Campsite, within the Snowdonia
National Park and Roundhill Pre-erected Tent Camping Site in Brockenhurst, New
Forest. So what are you waiting for? Visit www.campingninja.com to book your campsite today!
