Flexi-camp Deal for 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Gamesmakers / Volunteers

30 January 2012 : Written by Campingninja and Camping At The Games
Blog Pic We realise that there are thousands of volunteers for the Olympics and Paralympics, and that many of you will be needing somewhere to stay which won't break the bank. We think we have a great solution for you offering camping spots for £10 per night with good transport links to where you need to be.

As well as this we are offering, specificallly for Gamesmakers:

  • Dedicated volunteer camping areas

  • Change your location free of charge*

  • Change your dates free of charge*

  • Change your length of stay free of charge*

  • No extra pitch fees for single campers *

*For volunteers all usual admin and refund fees are waived to offer maximum flexibility. All changes are usually subject to an admin fee of £10 and subject to our refund terms and conditions. All bookings must always be over 7 days to qualify.

We have been talking with Volunteers and finding out what their requirements are, and have come up with a flexible booking system for Gamesmakers specially designed to ensure that you can book now and change later if you need to as we know many of you do not know your shift patterns or precise dates yet.

Who is eligible for Flexi-camp?

Anyone who is a Gamesmaker for the 2012 Olympics and / or Paralympics

How do you book?

1) Find the campsite (only for the Olympics or Paralympics) of your choice.
2) Go through the normal booking process  and in the "Booking Requirements" section make sure you choose "yes" for the "Flexi-camp" option.
3) Just before the end of the booking, before payment, there is a section for notes. In there state "flexi-camp", your role, your team and your venue.

So, there is nothing to lose - book your campsite near the 2012 Olympics or Paralympics and join with other Gamesmakers in supporting community sports.

Hi, I am a games maker at Wembley for the Olympics, am wondering how easy it is to travel from the campsite to Wembley, and can we leave a car on site, if my husband and children want to come for a few days, how easy is it for them to come down? Can they pay when they come? Thanks

Hi, I will be based at the Olympic Park for the whole Games period and have a small campervan. Will I be able to take advantage of the flexi-camp deal and if not do you have any ideas of where I can use it cheaply please?

Hi, look like we'll be able to borrow a small motorhome for the games; are there pitches for motorhomes? we'll both be volunteering at the Excel, for the boxing.
