Get Packing.... essential camping packing lists
We know some people may be more confident at packing for a camping trip than others, but for quite a few people, who only go occasionally, it is always a bit of a struggle to remember what you need to take and what you forgot last time and wish you'd remembered.

So, we've created our Campingninja Essential Packing List. It's got all the stuff on it and a few tips as well. Check it our here.

We also know that we are not the last word on camping kit and there are many of you out there who will think of something we haven't put on our list.

Please let us know in the comments section and we'll update our list so others can benefit from your knowledge - let's share the camping kit love!

Thanks Colin. Glad you like the list. Very useful additions - we'll add them in.

The list of Essential Equipment appears to be very thorough, and very closely mirrors my own camping stuff which is stored in a large plastic crate and can be loaded into the car at a moment's notice. There are a couple of items which I also take in order to improve comfort, especially in a smallish tent. Firstly, a blanket to spread on the floor makes the tent a lot more comfortable, especially if you can't stand up! Secondly, a lightweight groundsheet, two extra extending tent poles and lengths of guy rope can quickly be erected to form a windbreak, particularly useful if your tent isn't a family one big enough to cook inside. The poles can also be easily removed to allow the groundsheet to be used as a cover for articles outside the tent (cooker, etc) while away for the day.
