He didn't even discuss if he could get an assistant.... it just happened. Geoff goes to Dorset for a week and suddenly he's employing new staff - outrageous.
However, Neddy has proved a valuable asset to the team with a useful mixture of IT skills and creative thinking. So, he is on probation and we'll see how it goes.
Campingninja feature in Sainsbury's Magazine - Happy Campers
21 June 2010 : Written by The Campingninja Team
Geoff is featured giving expert camping tips in July's Sainsbury's Magazine in an article, "Happy Campers" by Francesca Syz.
Amongst other things Geoff talks about his fondest camping memories along the South West Coast Path in Devon and some of his favourite campsites.
Geoff's take on camping,
"camping is about connecting with the great outdoors so it doesn't really matter what the weather is like - the uncertainty is all part of the adventure".
Geoff's top camping tip, "A brilliant camping trip comes down to three things; good company, the right equipment and a decent back-up plan for rainy days."
Out and About: Campingninja finds out what Dorset offers
20 June 2010 : Written by The Campingninja Team
Last week Geoff was out and about visiting campsites in Dorset and spreading the Campingninja word. The Campingninja office goes wherever we go and camping fields in Dorset were no different.
Geoff said,"I haven't explored Dorset too much before but it was really spectacular".
Geoff attended the BH&HPA meeting in Christchurch and had the invaluable opportunity to connect with campsite owners.
The highlights of the area are:
The Jurassic Coastline - the only natural World Heritage Site in the UK - great beaches, stunning cliffs - surfing, rock climbing, kayaking, sailing, walking (South West Coastal Path).
The New Forest - great place to get away from it and be at one with nature - fab for anyone into wildlife, trees, cycling and walking.
Dorset has a lot to offer anyone wanting to go away for a short break or a longer holiday - lots and lots to do for the active, for families and also for those who want to take it easier and explore some of the interesting and quaint towns in the area.

We also know that we are not the last word on camping kit and there are many of you out there who will think of something we haven't put on our list.
Please let us know in the comments section and we'll update our list so others can benefit from your knowledge - let's share the camping kit love!
The Camping Ninja: and his secret diary
15 June 2010 : Written by Rhian Evans
It is quite likely you have been thinking, what does a camping ninja get up to in his day to day life? Who and what is behind the ninja suit? What does a camping ninja have for breakfast; what are his thoughts on current fashion trends; where does he stand in the gerbils vs hamsters debate? These are just some of the questions people have been crying out to know the answers to.....
So, we can't disappoint, we mustn't. We have been talking with the Camping Ninja himself and, even though it is extremely personal and he is extremely busy, he has agreed to share his diaries with us all. See what he has been up to so far: The Secret Diary of a Camping Ninja.
