1st ever Campingninja instructional video - how to sign-up your campsite/park

26 May 2010 : Written by The Campingninja Team
At Campingninja we are proud to say we have put together a video about how easy it is for a campsite to sign-up and how it works. We are really proud of the way we have designed and built the site and think it is one of its biggest selling points.... but you can't see how clever it is (well, we think so) until you decide to sign-up.... which is a big decision.

So, check it out here:

WARNING: embarrassing voice-over is present - I was just trying to be clear but I think I may be a cross between a children's tv presenter and Joanna Lumley!!!

Campingninja, the Tourism Management Institute and Visit England

Campingninja, the Tourism Management Institute and Visit England
A very successful day at the TMI conference in Derby. Visit England presented their recently launched Strategic Framework for Tourism in England. The first of its kind for 10 years.  Developed in collaboration with business and individuals from across the public and private sector the framework aims to maximise tourism's contribution to England's economy, employment and quality of life.

We at Campingninja were pleased to hear that many of our objectives as a business are the same as at a national level. Issues such as creating a greater connectivity between the visitor and the experience. Encouraging accommodation providers to maximise distribution through multiple channels like our own. Improving the way in which information is filtered for customers' specific needs. This was great news for Campingninja and our campsite owners.

There were some very interesting statistics to come out of the day from 2009. 76% of the UK population (46.8million) use the internet. 24% UK mobile phone users have browsed the internet on their phone. These figures back up other industry statistics such as 70% of people looking for a holiday in the UK in 2009 want and expect to find and book it on-line.
Campingninja has been born to provide just that for campsite owners and campers. All in all a very successful day and it was great to meet up with the regional tourism bodies such as Visit Cornwall, Lincolnshire, Forest of Dean, Northumberland, County Durham, Visit Peak District and of course Visit England.

Visit Cornwall helps launch Campingninja to Cornish campsites
Visit Cornwall and Campingninja have teamed up to encourage campsites in Cornwall to be amongst the first to take advantage of what Campingninja has to offer. Visit Cornwall have recognised the benefits that Campingninja can bring to the camping industry and local businesses in Cornwall and are keen for campsites in their area to be amongst the first in the UK to have the opportunity to sell some of their pitches on-line.

Malcolm Bell, Head of Tourism at Visit Cornwall commented," It is clear Campingninja will benefit some of our primary aims: making more efficient and sustainable use of the campsites which are already established; and promoting green businesses and initiatives throughout Cornwall."

Campingninja is LIVE for CAMPSITES to sign-up
After months of planning and designing and researching and building, Campingninja is very pleased to announce that campingninja.com is live for campsites to sign up and begin their online booking presence.

At present you can see almost 3000 campsites listed on our site. These are listed by ourselves and we are encouraging campsites to sign up right now. To find campsites which are 'bookable' simply use the Sort By button and sort by ......bookable.

We are very much in a live state and are launched to campsite owners. Once a campsite is on our site, it is bookable and please go ahead and book and we will do a grand launch to campers when we have a good number and spread of campsites.

We welcome feedback from both campsite owners and campers about the website - how it works, how it looks..... anything! Please give us any feedback via our contact form

This is the beginning of a big new chapter in the life of Campingninja and we will be very happy if you can join us!
