Campsite Description

Campsite overview

Meadowlands is a lovely countryside caravan and camping site that is steeped in history, but for mature adults only. The site is large, but very informal. Very large areas of grass with electric hook up dotted around the park. No formality and regimented lines. It is 15" from the coast with Skegness and Ingoldmells being that close. It is also on the fringe of the Lincolnshire Wolds. The toilet and shower facilities are currently limited but clean. The onsite woodland offers interesting and colourful fauna and bird watching opportunities for those nature lovers.

Great activities / places of interest within walking distance

The campsite is part of the old RAF Spilsby WWII airbase. A local memorial takes in part of the campsite on its tours. Great Steeping is in walking distance, as are access to more formal country walks. A Heavy horse centre and equestrian facilities are down the road.

Great activities / places of interest a little further afield

Spilsby is nearby with many local coffee shops and historical places to view. The National Trust Gunsby Hall is 3 or 4 miles away. Cycling routes are in abundance, or visit the Wolds and walk in the hills.
The coast offers everything you would imagine, Skegness, Ingoldmells, Mablethorpe and more. Enjoy them, but walk away and relax at the end of the day.
