Green Initiatives

Green Inititatives
North Lodge is an accredited campsite through the STEP programme of Sustainable Travel International. This basically means that we have a sustainability policy which encompasses all of our services and activities. From the outset of our site we have incorporated many measures which ensure that our business has a low carbon footprint and low impact on the local environment. Our site has a veg plot, plants are grown using organic methods and permaculture techniques. The camping field is made up of short and long grass areas for wildlife, we have also planted trees around the site. There is solar lighting around the site and we provide recycling and composting facilities. We have insulated our premises and we have a log burning system supported by solar for the B&B. Any electricity used is purchased on a green tariff see our webpage for further details.....

"North lodge"
North lodge is an eco camp site so it would be unfair to criticise based on a very admirable ethos ...
