Campsite Description

Campsite overview

This is an all grass privately owned campsite located in a beautiful 10 acre very tranquil field, that welcomes caravans, motorhomes, campervans, trailer tents and tents. To ensure you have an enjoyable and comfortable stay we have provided fresh drinking water, chemical waste disposal and seperate ladies and gent toilets, there is however no electric hook up.

Enjoy remarkable paranoramic views from the comfort of your camp chair. If you are lucky enough to see one of our spectacular red sky at night sunsets, it is a sight that will remain with you forever. There is abundant wildlife on and around the site, rabbits and foxes are often to be seen running around the bottom of the field and it is not unusual to see a deer in the early hours of the morning.

We are also very proud of our local pair of Buzzards who are often to be seen soaring in the air around the campsite....they even nested in our woods this year, producing a single chick.

Self contained BBQ's and raised fires are allowed, but NO pit fires. We do have self contained burners available to buy.

Great activities / places of interest within walking distance

Just a short 8 minute walk away is the Jolly Farmer Public House, selling real ales, ciders and popular beers. In the opposite direction, a 5 minite drive, is the traditional unspoilt Fox and Hounds Country Pub, which dates back to 1601. With an open fireplace and a large garden why not enjoy the freshly home cooked food whilst sipping a drink from the selection of real ales, ciders and beers.

Why not enjoy a day out at the British Wildlife Centre (3 miles away), have a flutter on the horses at Lingfield Park Racecourse (7 miles away), or discover the history of the Old Mill windmill (60 min walk away). Or if you want to take it easy why not enjoy a gentle stroll on the various countryside walks that surround the campsite.

For your food basics there is a local garage about a 20 minute walk away, but if you fancy going a little further Lingfield Village is only a 5 minute drive away. With a local pond and 16th and 18th century buildings, local shops (bank, florist, papershop, chemist) this is a lovely little village to visit.

Should you run out of camping supplies, SK Camping, one of the countries leading camping and leisure centres is located 1 mile away at the end of the lane.

Great activities / places of interest a little further afield

Discover the history at Leeds Castle (37 miles away), Penshurst Place (14 miles away), Hever Castle (9 miles away) and Sir Winston Churchills family home, Chartwell (17 miles away).

A great place for the families is Godstone Farm, this is a short 10 minute drive away to the local village of Godstone. Godstone Farm is set among the beautiful rolling hills of the Surrey countryside, and it would be difficult to imagine a more perfect day out for children and adults alike. You will find numerous interesting animals to discover, exciting play areas to enjoy and new experiences to make this a truly memorable day out.

Why not treat yourself and enjoy a fantastic day out at The Bluebell Railway (18 miles away), hop on the steam train and take in the views of the glorious Sussex countryside.
