Campsite overview
Redlands Community Sports Hub is offering great value camping for only £10 per night per adult and £5 for children during the Olympic & Paralympic Games. The site is situated in acres of green space, less than a 40 minute walk to Nothe Fort, the best viewing spot in town for the Paralympic sailing, and this site will be specifically geared up for the event. The Sports Hub boasts excellent facilities, with a host of indoor and outdoor courts, outdoor pitches - including a 3G pitch, fitness suite and a recent addition, the adiZone. The adiZone is a fantastic multi-sport and outdoor gym area that is free for anyone to use and has been designed to encourage the local community to get active in the run up to the 2012 games!
OPEN FOR THE PARALYMPICS: 24/08 - 10/09
We limit the tent size on our grass pitches to 4mx4m, or an equivalent of 16m² or less. Alternatively you can pay an extra £5 per night for a larger tent.
We also have Pre-erected tents available to rent. These tents are set up and ready for your arrival. Please note that sleeping bags and mattresses are not provided. Just the tent. The Pre-erected tents are for up to 4 people with 2 separate sleeping areas. The cost is £25 a night plus the per person charges above.
The site offers campers hot showers, toilet facilities, cafe and bar as well as access to all the sports facilities (additional cost to paid except for the adiZone, which is free).
Lewis Stripp, General Manager at Weymouth College, comments: “We are really excited about being involved in the games, we have been involved in several legacy projects already and this is another great opportunity to capitalise on the games and invest in facilities that will benefit the wider community! Weymouth has a fantastic atmosphere during the summer and the addition of the Olympics and Paralympics this year will really add to the buzz!”
