Campsite overview

Stithians Lake Country Park is an AA 3-star graded site located between Falmouth and Redruth in West Cornwall. Stithians offers something for everyone. It’s a place where you can walk, fish, sail and bird watch or just simply relax with a picnic.

Great activities / places of interest within walking distance

At the Outdoor + Active centre you can take part in windsurfing, sailing, rowing and kayaking, launch your own craft or hire. There is a launch fee to launch your equipent on the lake, you are also required to have third party insurance. We offer 10% discount on launch fees for our campers and 20% off hire.

If you prefer to stay on land, there are lakeside walks and a cycle trail as well as the ‘Pirate Boat' children's play area.
There is a great Cafe in the watersports centre serving Expresso, A Variety of Tea's, Lovely Cakes, Breakfasts and Light Lunches.
Explorer Cycles are located right next to the campsite. They can provide cycle hire and guiding for both adults and children. They also provived a full maintenance service for all types of bikes.
Anglers are well catered for with boat and bank fishing facilities at this stocked rainbow trout location. Groups and scout groups will find this site ideal for activity-based holidays.

This majestic water, one of England’s most westerly trout fisheries, is regularly stocked with rainbow trout averaging up to 4lb, and has a natural head of brown trout.
Please note that fly fishing is the only method permitted, and that all anglers over 12 years must posses a valid Environment Agency rod license.

Great activities / places of interest a little further afield

There is a children’s play area, surfaced cycleway to the dam. With plenty of open space for informal games and picnicking, visitors can also enjoy the circular walk around the Lake, a bird hide and the stunning views. Dogs are most welcome at the Lake but we politely request that they are kept on leads.
The award winning Golden Lion Inn is less than 100yds from the campsite, serving delicious, home-cooked food.
