Campsite overview
Tamar Lakes campsite is an AA 2-Star graded site with panoramic views over the 81 acre lake. With watersports, landsports, fishing and much more on offer, this campsite is perfect for those who love to be outdoors and get active. We also now have three Camping Pods available on site, 2 of which are furnished (Large Pod) and sleep 4 people and 1 which is unfurnished (Small Pod)
Please note the furnished and unfurnished Pod prices include 4 people. It is not possible to go above these numbers whilst staying in the furnished pod however, additional people can stay in the unfurnished pod for an extra £5.50 per person per night.
Great activities / places of interest within walking distance
If you prefer to stay dry there are beautiful walks and cycle trails at the lake as well as a café and visitor centre in the main building. Coarse anglers are well catered for with large carp, bream and rudd.
Families with young children can enjoy the play area, beach and pedaloes.
Facitilities include: modern showers, wash up and disposal and recycling facilities. The site welcomes campers in tents and camper vans.
Dogs are also welcome but must be kept on a lead.
Great activities / places of interest a little further afield
Upper Tamar Lake offers fun for all the family, with pedalos, surf skis and Canadian Canoes for hire as well as dinghies and windsurfers.
Throughout the school holidays the watersports centre offers activity weeks for children and taster sessions for adults to try water and landsports activities. Please contact the centres for more information.
