Local events / what's on near us

Anglers will be in their element at this nationally renowned stocked rainbow trout Lake, one of our three premier trout fisheries, set in peaceful and tranquil surroundings. Please note that fly fishing is the only method permitted, and that all anglers over 12 years must possess a valid Environment
Agency rod license. Wimbleball Lake is a Trout Master fishery.
With miles of bank, plenty of inlets and boat angling, Wimbleball is an experience not to be missed.
Stocked reguarly with rainbow trout up to 6lb, it recorded excellent results in 2009, with a rod average for the season of 4 fish per angler, while fishery record stands at a rainbow trout of
12lb 13oz.
